“Life is about using the whole box of crayons”.     RuPaul

Color is life!If we imagine to wakeup one day to dull surroundings, life would automatically become dull. All the richness, beauty and vitality of life is possible only through colors.Colors are the essence of vision.

“Poured a cup of hot sepia coffee in a wisteria flowered mug, dandelion sunshine spilling through the periwinkle sky”.

Terri Guillemets

Color formation is a complex process. It is formed by the presence of light, only 1 out of every 10^25 rays of the sun are responsible for painting our world with colors, such a small portion does wonders. The rays pass through the atmosphere, touch objects and are reflected at an angle.God has next blessed us with a lens, called ‘eye’ which diverts it through our vision to our minds.Hence, our thoughts, feelings, surroundings even dreams are color-drenched.

When a child is born, it is automatically attentive towards motion, and color. The head turns towards bright effervesence colors.A toddler crawls to catch and touch the most colorful objects in the room, and is attracted to the person in the room who wears bright colorful clothes.Next, when a child joins school, the first activity that involves him/her in school is coloring.Kids are fascinated to hold colorful crayons in their hands, they enjoy the liberty to choose color of choice and use it generously to drawings.A love and admiration for color is in born in humans.

“We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box”.         Robert Fulghum

God has made the universe drizzled with wonderful colors, and with beauty and purpose. There colors perk up our lives.Blue sky and brooks, green fields, rainbows, flowers of a thousand colors, birds and animals are all adorned with beauty and color, which makes them unique and artistic.

Mankind has also attempted to add more color to this extravagant real life panorama.Kites, paintings, neon lights, fireworks, colorful interiors and exteriors of our dwellings, colorful transports, billboards etc….Therefore we are surrounded by beauty in totality, worth to be grateful for, to admire, to absorb and reflect.

We have absorbed so much color in our colorful lives, whether we had appreciated it or not, and whether we had paused to see and value it or not, colors of beauty have effected our lives, with or without being aware of it.We never truly thanked life and nature for the intricate delicacies and vivacious colors it brought us.Like everything we have taken the colors in our lives.

My skin is kind of sort of brownish

Pinkish yellowish white.

My eyes are greyish blueish green,

But I’m told they look orange in the night.

My hair is reddish blondish brown,

But it’s silver when it’s wet.

And all the colors I am inside

Have not been invented yet.

Shel Silverstein – “Colors”

We have absorbed more than enough colors without reflecting them.It is said that if we mix all the colors together, in huge amounts, we are left with a black color. That is what is going inside each of us.To give off color, objects have to reflect light and color, otherwise color isn’t visible. We have accumulated all the colors within us, thus combining them into a filthy black, a color of melancholy, sins, impurity. The darkness inside is growing, breaking all bounds, slowly and steadily gulping up all the colors of our lives.

“Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up”.       Allen Klein

All of us, pick our own palette of colors in our lives. Our morality, values, habits which we exhibit give color to our personalities. We can decide, whether we want the colors of jubilance, purity, or colors of lament or sin to surround our lives.Just as we love colorful serene facades, it will be worthwhile if we develop peaceful, soothing colorful columns and piers of the interiors as well.Life is useless if we are no good for others, if we are not examplary, inspiring, if we could not mentor.

“A box of new crayons! Now they’re all pointy, lined up inorder, bright and perfect. Soon they’ll be a bunch of ground down, rounded, indistinguishable stumps, missing their wrappers and smudged with other colors. Sometimes life seems unbearably tragic”.

Bill Watterson

Black is the color of death, and accumulation of color without reflecting it in our characters, personalities, mannerisms, habits and in our surroundings and environment, will only cause our death, spiritually and psychologically.

“Give crayons. Adults are disturbingly impoverished of these magical dream sticks”.          Dr. SunWolf

Our confines, our world, the beauty of our earth, all is in our hands. If we color our inner-self with color, life will not have to become colorless at our dispense. There will be color reflecting everywhere, creating a beautiful rainbow of love, care, compassion, honesty, truth, respect, justice, sacrifice, unity, brotherhood, which will bring true colors in our lives, and in life itself!I don’t wanna take away the colors of life, i am willing to arrange all the beautiful colors inside of me, and reflect them around, are you?Let’s paint the world with colors of life, colors which give worth and purpose to life, colors which ornate our lives deserve to be spread around.Let’s emulsify every street, every heart, every face with the colors of joy and purity!

“Coloring outside the lines is a fine art”.      Kim Nance

  1. What a beautiful, radiant post my dear friend! I will today go about constantly thinking of this – that I am a ray of light, a colour of love and joy to all who may cross my path. That my face is not just a face but a channel to reflect warmth and kindness. How powerful a thought if we all consciously brought out our best each moment – transforming this world into a beautiful rose garden of His love. Hugs dear one, Sharon

    • Thanx Sharon!Everything that God has created has a purpose, and it constantly signifies some aspects of life.Throughout our lives, each and everything that is in existence is pointing and hinting us towards something, and that is:How we can incorporate it in our self. That’s how God wants us to be, the way he has created things in this universe, beautiful, pure, and colorful!Nice to hear from you.Loads of love!:)
