The Deadly Game of Power!

Your greed of dominion has seized my existence

Credit:quotepixel.com

Credit:quotepixel.com

It was sown in your hearts long ago by power

It chained your ability to reason in shackles

It shot an arrow in the heart of your emotions

Devastation overflew since then, going boundless

The fire breathing dragons caged are on the loose

All the dominoes of life have started drifting…

Tumbling down the freedom and ‘being’ of mankind

It doesn’t take long to capture pawns after all!

But it takes only one piece to turn the tables

To checkmate, to win back the lost glory of life!

And i will stand tall till my last breath to survive

To execute the move which topples your vicious plans

Mountains of pursuit turn to dust, hopeless tumbling around

But till i carry flag of our lost honor, there’ s still a chance!

Take seeds of brotherhood from me, plant in depths of your heart

Water with faith, strength, harmony, plow fields with humanity

Wait in patience for fields to bloom, to light your heart with unity

Let’s leave this game here, and hug each other my dear friend!

There’s nothing lost in the end,we both won match of co-existence!

Our Shades of Grey

Credits:CartoonStock.com

‘Human nature is not black and white but black and grey.’     –    Graham Green

Life is never minus these shades of grey.Objects have dark shadows, happiness has sorrow, there are rain clouds hovering over the sun and humans have both virtue and immorality…..so basically life is in 3D – blacks and whites, as well as greys. Why? It is an imperfect world, amalgamation of good and the bad.We start our lives with clean white slates – clear in our minds what is the true purpose of this life blessed upon us.With time, the bad- black shades in our surroundings start taking over, and it becomes hard to resist it’s interference in our radicals, the fundamental ambitions and intentions of our existence slowly start crumbling away.We become more and more uncertain about life and it’s real aims, more and more poisoned by evil than good. What remains then, well it’s only a shade of grey – not what we wanted or aimed for. Most of us are basically grey inside out. Some, maybe a little lighter grey and some a much darker one.I believe this has given rise to a world in a state of chaos and confusion, what we once start believed in in our childhood story morals, and what we were supposed to do is not happening anywhere around us.We are kinda bluffing ourselves.Morals, values, right and wrongs, are all decided upon personal levels, and conveniences.Reminds me of a beautifully sung & written song by Billy Joel – an absolutely favourite song writer, composer and singer.

BILLY JOEL – SHADES OF GREY

Creits:Sara-nmt@DeviantArt,com

Some things were perfectly clear, seen with the vision of youth
No doubts and nothing to fear, I claimed the corner on truth
These days it’s harder to say I know what I’m fighting for
My faith is falling away
I’m not that sure anymore

Shades of grey wherever I go
The more I find out the less that I know
Black and white is how it should be
But shades of grey are the colors I see

Once there were trenches and walls and one point of every view
Fight ’til the other man falls – kill him before he kills you
These days the edges are blurred, I’m old and tired of war
I hear the other man’s words
I’m not that sure anymore

Shades of grey are all that I find
When I look to the enemy line
Black and white was so easy for me
But shades of grey are the colors I see

Now with the wisdom of years, I try to reason things out
And the only people I fear are those who never have doubts
Save us all from arrogant men, and all the causes they’re for
I won’t be righteous again
I’m not that sure anymore

Shades of grey are all that I find
When I look to the enemy line
Ain’t no rainbows shining on me
Shades of grey are the colors I see

Shades of grey wherever I go
The more I find out the less that I know
Ain’t no rainbows shining on me
Shades of grey are the colors I see

Stepping into this deceptive and baffled world, the truths of life become vague. The difference between black and white seems less apparent and obvious. This is not what is expected of us.We usually forget, that we are not in this world to aim for perfection, we are not perfect! Our lives our given in our own hands, because we have all the capacity to turn this shade of grey into somewhat white again. Our tests are within our endurances. If we keep on mixing white into grey in our palettes, one day, this shade of grey will loose the black dark elements we had once absorbed in us.It isn’t easy, needs alot of effort to turn grey to white, trying again and again, bit by bit, adding more and more truth into the dark dungeons of deception, more honesty into our dishonest self, more factual into the depths of fake, and so on and so forth becoming more and more sure about life and it’s objectives, and ultimately making appropriate changes to achieve that life.We can’t be clear about life until our palette is clear. We are expected to turn the greys of our lives back into the pure whites! If not ideally, because nothing is ideal, than at least life will be much much closer to clarity – the clean whites.

‘When you’re the victim of behavior, it’s black and white. When you’re the perpetrator, there are a million shades of gray’   –   Laura Schlessinger

Our lives in the times of today can be clichéd, that we are all dressed up,but have no where to go.There is no purpose in our lives, wandering all over like gypsies, having no destinations or goals. Our shades of grey are the ones creating this cloud of confusions.Finding a meaningful life would be good enough to give directions to our ventures.Every day is a new day, with a clean slate.New beginnings, new opportunities to change ourselves, and this world.Change will begin from everyone who dares to rewrite their lives, who have the strength to turn the tables, those who can outshine the shadows of doubt with the warm bright sunshine of certainty, who can blow away the dark clouds hovering over truth, who can swap grief with joy, who can outclass agony with solace.Only those deserve this world, who have the wisdom to understand it, power to influence and means to change it positively.

‘Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure…than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a grey twilight that knows not victory not defeat.’    –    Theodore Roosevelt

Life would be straightforward, easy and clean once we can tell lie from truth, ignorance from wisdom, love from hatred, man from animal….We have to BELIEVE strongly in what we HAVE to do, before we can actually DO it.We always had the path before us, but it demands a price we are not willing to give. It’s inconvenient, difficult, painful, and doesn’t pay returns as quickly as needed.

‘Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.’    –   Rumi

So, we are on a path of self-destruction, which is more convenient – we can make choices as to which route can take us better towards self-destruction.It’s easy because we are unaware of the consequences the times will bring. It is human psychology, we realize the worth of things once they are gone forever. But clocks can never be turned back. The sands of time are slipping out of our hands. Our conscience  is very clear about what it wants. We don’t wanna listen to what it has to say.All our lives we try to turn, a deaf ear to the inner voices which haunt us.We need courage to face it, and to transform our lives positively to achieve inner peace and tranquility.Only our intimidating approach is destroying the values which define our civilization.Until we develop the strength to do what’s right, only shades of grey will roam about this earth!

Words to the wise are enough! At least try….kill or cure!

This could kill you softly:

Shades Of Grey
by Monkees

When the world and I were young, just yesterday
Life was such a simple game a child could play

It was easy then to tell right from wrong
Easy then to tell weak from strong
When a man should stand and fight
Or just go along

But today, there is no day or night
Today, there is no dark or light
Today, there is no black or white
Only shades of gray

I remember when the answer seemed so clear
We had never lived with doubt, or tasted fear

It was easy then to tell truth from lies
Selling out from compromise
Who to love and who to hate
The foolish from the wise

But today, there is no day or night
Today, there is no dark or light
Today, there is no black or white
Only shades of gray

It was easy then to know what was fair
When to keep and when to share
How much to protect your heart
And how much to care

But today, there is no day or night
Today, there is no dark or light
Today, there is no black or white
Only shades of gray
Only shades of gray…

Brooks Dame – His story of overcoming of fears and sacrifice!

‘We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face… we must do that which we think we cannot.’     –     Eleanor Roosevelt

How many of us are strong enough to combat our fears?Fears are deep-rooted and don’t let go easily, except when faced with courage and compassion. Our phobia’s and creeps crawl around like twining vines and surround us.Counting on courage we gradually overcome it. But, it is not that easy as it seems.

Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world.’   –    Ralph Waldo Emerson

Brooks Dame was a student in high school, when a friend named Jessica was diagnosed with Lupus.Doctors helped her in coming back to life, which struck Brooks. He thought that maybe he could be of some help to similar people in need in one form or the other. It took time, to overcome Trypanophobia – his fear for needles. With some thinking and courage, finally he registered himself in bone marrow donation.

‘We must build dikes of courage to hold the flood of fear.’     –     Martin Luther King Jr.

After one year of waiting, he finally was informed that his bone marrow matched to a man in his 30’s, with wife and children, battling everyday with Leukemia. He felt compassion towards a man holding onto what seemed like a chance of survival….hope! He heard his desperate cry for help, his urge to live and desperate attempt to fight death gave him the sunshine which took him away from his fears into a bright world of fearlessness.

‘Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain.’     –   Mark Twain

He took a few tests, and then in a hospital in Denver, he donated his bone marrow to save life!We can inculcate bravery by being strong and fearless. His phobia was the first hurdle, the complicated donation procedures and the immense pain another….but in the end – he emerged victorious!

‘Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.’    –   Mark Twain

Life is never easy on us, not because it loves to ache us, but because behind every good or bad in life, there is a purpose.Sometimes we can see it, sometimes we don’t, but sooner or later we get to know all the answers to ‘WHY’?.At times bearing pain makes us fearless of pain, sometimes bearing pain for others gives us the endurance for pain.Immense pain makes us painless, infact fearless.

‘Fear is an acronym in the English language for “False Evidence Appearing Real”.’   –   Neale Donald Walsch

We need to learn from life, instead of cursing it.Everything in life teaches us, improvises us, and strengthens us.We only need a realization, a sensitive heart and the strength to overcome fears. Most of the things in our lives remain unaccomplished because of these unneeded unnecessary fears.

‘Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.’    –    Marie Curie

Another important factor is sacrifice. Those who can sacrifice for others can eradicate fear through compassion, just like those who can  eradicate fear for themselves through strength.Compassion is something which can always be developed in oneself, it is not inherited. It usually develops only when we face pain ourselves, then we start to relate to all those who have faced similar pain in life.Just like Brooks Dame was able to relate to all those in pain when his friend Jessica experienced it.It woke the compassion within, and he sacrificed for a stranger in pain and need by going through pain itself.Sacrifice is an emotion which is not easy to develop, infact i believe it sometimes surpasses the value of the good deed a sacrifice is given for.But sacrifice makes us humane and strong, because we realize that we can lead our lives even without the thing we sacrificed for others.

‘Fear is a darkroom where negatives are developed.’    –    Unknown

Let’s overcome our fears to achieve strength and compassion, let’s sprinkle it around us too…Foremost, let’s get rid of this  bundle of fears interrupting our affairs and make life easy and enjoyable.Only then we can experience life in it’s truest sense and make it worthwhile for others as well!

‘There are four ways you can handle fear. You can go over it, or around it.But if you are ever to put fear behind you, you must walk straight through it.Once you put fear behind you, leave it there.’    –    Donna A. Favors

He is my confidence….
One look at him and nothing could dither me
He is my strength….
When i took my first step, i looked around
I made sure he was around
Only he could catch me before i fall!
He is my disciplinary…
I am not at all what he is
He is my ideal…
I look upon him with all my trust
and hope that maybe one day i will be like him
He is my wisdom…
All my life every act or word of his
Was only in my betterment
I seeked refuge in his knowledge
To save me in troubled times
He is my mentor…
Every cell within me owe’s him after God
He is my teacher…
Of life, of love, of the world!
He taught me writing, drawing, maths
orating, leading, obeying….and what not?
He is the decesion maker…
We don’t care what he decides
He is always right, and we trust him!
He is the leader…
Of our home, our moralities
Our talents, our inspirations
He is his baby girl’s first love, , his baby boy’s ideal…
Daddy’s girl always loved him
He is my super hero…
I never find flaws in him even if they are!
He is my guide…
He never lets me loose my path
I hold onto him in the dark and bravo!
I am back on the track!
He is the equilibrium…
He finds commonalities amongst us
And shuns all differences
He is the blood that runs through our veins…
The bonding which has united us all for so long
He is an examplary…
Being the eldest how he raised his family
After grandfather’s death!
How he sacrificed and fought hardships
For his loved ones?
He is a symbol…
Of strength and pride,
Of honor and dignity
He is my encouragement…
In overcoming my fears,
In becoming fearless!
He is my smiles and grins
I am happy when he is!
He is my depth…
His silence speaks a thousand words
He is my identity…
I could only identify me through his existence
He is my morality…
His virtue and qualities influenced me
With every step, he proudly takes towards the setting sun of life
I realize in the tough walk of life how vital his presence is
Whenever i turn around in life with hope of taking refuge from miseries
I wish to find you there ready to comfort me, to raise me up
And afterwards, in the depths of my heart, to idealize and love
But above all, i wanna find me around you always,
To try and express my love, care and respect for you
To make your life fun, joyful and comfortable
To honor you for your efforts to make life as easy as possible!
You are and will always be most worthy of my respect & love Father…
Always!

I Asked…

I asked God for strength that I might achieve,

Credits:KalbiCamdan

Credits:Grazinger

I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey. . .

I asked for health, that I might do greater things,

I was given infirmity, that I might do better things. . .

I asked for riches that I might be happy,

I was given poverty that I might be wise. . .

I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men,

I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. . .

I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life,

I was given life, that I might enjoy all things. . .

I got nothing that I asked for-

but everything I had hoped for,

Almost despite myself,

my unspoken prayers were answered.

I am among all men most richly blessed.
